Knox, who joined the Florida International University's football crew this late spring,

was found in clinical pain by companions in his apartment, as per the college.

Luke Knox, a Florida International University football player and sibling of Buffalo Bills' Dawson Knox, passed on at 22 Wednesday night.

"Luke was found by companions in his apartment here nearby in clinical trouble,"

FIU Police Captain Delrish Moss told NBC News. "FIU police was called and FIU cops showed up and endeavored CPR until salvage showed up and dominated.

He was shipped to a neighborhood emergency clinic by Miami-County Fire Rescue and he later passed on at that clinic."

Knox, who recently played football at the University of Mississippi, joined FIU's football crew this late spring.

His sibling Dawson additionally played school football at the University of Mississippi.
